Dogan was also an active member of the Croatian Medical Association, and in the period between 1958 and 1960 he was its president. He actively participated in the work of professional societies; he was the president of the Neurology Section of the Croatian Medical Association, the president of the League Against Epilepsy in Croatia and a member of the Academy of the Medical Association.
His activity was recognized and he was awarded memorial plaques and diplomas from the Medical Association.
